This is how your flight goes, step by step.
The meeting : facing the lagoon, in front of the Black Air Paragliding minibus.
It all starts in the parking lot of the Saint-Leu landing zone, right next to Kelonia. You find your state-certified instructor 5 minutes before departure. No need for special equipment : a pair of sneakers and a windbreaker are enough.
The climb : a panoramic walk towards the Colimaçons
Our minibus takes you to the Colimaçons takeoff site, has 800 meters of altitude. During the climb, your instructor explains the basics of flying to you. This is often where apprehension gives way to excitement !
Takeoff : a few steps and you are flying
To take off, just run a few steps on the grass. In seconds, your feet leave the ground and you enter a world of silence and lightness.
The flight : between lagoon, forest and whales !
Depending on the formula chosen, your flight lasts 15 has 45 minutes. You fly over the sugar cane fields, the primary forest, the botanical conservatory and the magnificent turquoise lagoon of Saint-Leu. In season, you can even see humpback whales from the air !
The landing : feet in the sand
Your flight ends smoothly on Saint-Leu beach, facing the Indian Ocean. And there, invariably, comes this big smile that we find on all faces. This feeling of freedom, of lightness… difficult to describe, but impossible to forget.
