BLACK AIR PARAPENTE, paragliding school on Reunion Island

Located in St Leu, on the west coast ofReunion Island, Black Air Parapente, created in 2006 by Guillaume BOEYE, is ideally placed for the practice of this outdoor sport.
Indeed, the geographical location of St Leu makes it the ideal place to practice paragliding in Reunion, but also one of the most famous sites in the world, thanks to its favorable conditions and breathtaking landscapes.

You can reserve your paragliding first flight every day, 7 days on 7.
Discover our different flight options, from 800m to 1500m altitude difference. You will be able to fly over primary forest, cane fields, botanical garden as well as the magnificent lagoon of Saint Leu and its inhabitants, turtles, dolphins, rays and even humpback whales in season !

🪂 Who am I ? A passion that has become a job

I discovered the paraglider on Reunion Island in September 1997, And it was a real revelation. Very quickly, This passion has taken over my professional life in the automobile and finance. So I decided to leave everything to devote myself entirely to this intoxicating activity, in direct connection with nature and the elements.

 

After obtaining my state certificate of sports educator option paragliding, I founded black air paragliding 2006 In Saint-Leu, Where I now live year -round. From, I enthusiastically share this passion for free flight with visitors from around the world, in one of the most beautiful spots on the planet.

 

I am also passionate about scuba diving and marine mammals. With my friend photographer Éric Lamblin, We co-produced a photo book entitled [In the intimacy of whales], a poetic immersion in the heart of the ocean giants.

 

Lovers of nature and large spaces, I also practice mountain sports, Trail and ultra-trail.

QUESTIONS

Who can fly ?

Everyone from 4 years and up to 115 kg, provided you can take a few steps for takeoff. Children only fly in the morning, from 8 a.m., if conditions permit.

Is paragliding physical? ?

Non. A few steps are enough to take off, then the flight is smooth and requires no effort.

How to give a gift voucher ?

Go to the section Gift Vouchers you menu. You can offer a flight in just a few clicks.

How should I dress ?

In summer : a t-shirt is enough.
In southern winter : a sweater or windbreaker.
For the flight 1500 m : a fleece is recommended.
Always : sneakers required.

I'm a little scared, what to do ?

It's normal. We support you every step of the way so that everything goes smoothly.

And if I feel dizzy ?

The dizziness disappears as soon as the feet leave the ground.

Who will make me fly ?

State-certified professional instructors, experienced and passionate.

Aurai-je besoin d'un équipement spécifique ?

Non. We provide all the equipment. Just come with sports shoes and appropriate clothing.

And if the weather doesn't allow you to fly ?

We set a new date together according to your availability.

How does a flight take place? ?

Briefing au sol, accompanied takeoff, gentle flight with a view of Saint‑Leu, possibility of driving, soft landing.

Where is the meeting ?

In the parking lot of the Saint-Leu landing zone, next to Kélonia, in front of the Black Air Paragliding minibus.
